HITRUST vs. SOC 2 TYPE 2
HITRUST was created by a consortium of insurance and healthcare corporations to increase the security standards of the highly sensitive data managed by these companies. The primary difference between HITRUST and SOC 2 TYPE 2 is the number of controls monitored. HITRUST monitors 156 controls. SOC 2 TYPE 2 monitors 61 controls.
